Marek Biegalski is a Polish nomad turned photographer. After a decade of travelling the world, Marek decided to capture it with his photographs. He has shot many different genres of photography but landscapes and the natural world are his passion.

Marek now lives in Ireland but it was on a visit to Iceland that he ventured into the realm of aerial photography, both from a plane and with drones. Contrasting ground level and the different perspective from above have opened up a career in photography for Marek
His love of photography is fuelled by a deep appreciation of the natural world and all its wonders. From shooting landscape from the ground, Iceland’s vast landscapes inspired him to take to the air and capture them from a different perspective above. Initially this was with a drone but he also captures his bird’s eye views of the world from a plane as well. Marek finds this aerial perspective exhilarating and his images show the intricate patterns and textures in the landscape which aren’t visible from ground level.

Here, Marek chats to Newton & Coe about how it all began, his travels, work, motivations and landscape photography, both from ground-level and from above .
