Podcast – Jack Lodge

At only 30, Jack Lodge is relatively new to photography but he’s already carving himself a career in one of the toughest genres – landscape. In a very interesting chat with Newton and Coe, we discover how a young photographer has worked his way from architect to a new career which is flourishing through his contemporary approach to building his brand.

Podcast - Jack Lodge - Eye for the Light

Jack is a young and up-and-coming photographer, specialising in landscapes and nature – two of the hardest genres to break into. He’s only been professional for a year and a half, but has been working up to this for nearly 10 years.

You may think that someone so young and new to professional photography wouldn’t have much to share, but you’d be wrong. He has a passion rarely seen and an infectious enthusiasm for his craft. This podcast’s a bit different. If you’re on your own photographic journey, you will find Jack’s approach and experiences a fascinating listen.

His landscape photography varies from enchanting ancient woodlands in the heart of the Dorset countryside, to dramatic seascapes across the Jurassic Coast and snow-capped mountains all the way from Scotland to Norway. He runs workshops for small groups.

Here, Newton & Coe get a chance to talk to Jack about his blossoming career, camera gear, printing, social media and his fascination with the seasons. Listen to him share the approaches of a young photographer in the digital age with his perspectives on a wide range of topics.
