Podcast – Angie Nicholson

As a champion of women photographers, Angie Nicholson is an inspiration. She’s a journalist, camera gear reviewer, competition judge and the driving force behind both Camera Jabber and the SheClicks community. All this makes for a fascinating conversation.

For women’s photography, Angie is an inspiration. In a photography world which is too often dominated by male photographers, she is a force for encouraging women to pick up their cameras and show the world their talents.

Angie is a journalist with a strong technical background in the photographic world. She assesses and reviews lots of camera equipment and, in addition to founding the rapidly growing SheClicks community, she is also a co-founder of Camera Jabber. In the past she’s been Amateur Photographer’s Technical Editor and Head of Testing for Future Publishing’s extensive photography portfolio (Digital Camera, Professional Photography, NPhoto, PhotoPlus, Photography Week, Practical Photoshop, Digital Camera World and TechRadar).

She’d love to see more women at photographic events and for women to have a greater say in camera and accessory development, and also as camera manufacturer ambassadors. She believes that we are stronger together and that collaboration is the way forward. SheClicks is a community for all female photographers whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned professional, you are

Here, Newton & Coe get a chance to talk to Angie about her career, reviewing camera gear, photo competitions and judging them, SheClicks, women in photography and a whole lot more. Listen to her shares her perspectives on a wide range of topics which will make you think.
