Podcast – Marion Payr

It was perhaps pre-destined that she would become a photographer. She is now a working travel photographer earning a living from something which has become her passion.
Her start in photography, with a phone, was anything but conventional though.

Inspiration for aspiring photographers

Austrian photographer Marion Payr started her photography career in 2012 after a previous career. She is now a working travel photographer earning a living from something which has become her passion.

Her first ever word was “look” so it was kind of pre-destined that she would end up as a photographer but like many of us she didn’t choose photography as her first career.

Her start in photography, with a phone, was anything but conventional so in this podcast we find out how it all began, how it grew and how she now mentors other photographers.

Her interest in wildlife was sparked by a holiday in Namibia and love affair with Africa was born.

Below you’ll see a selection of Marion’s work. Listen and you’ll find out a lot more.

In this podcast, she talks to &Coe about her life, her photography, her fascination with the world and what motivates her. It’s an interesting story and especially so if you are starting in photography or trying to grow a career.
