Ben Skaar, 2020 Young Travel Photographer of the Year (15–18 years)

In 2020, Massachusetts-based Ben Skaar won Young Travel Photographer of the Year (15–18 years). At just 17 years old, the majority of his time is spent doing school work but he uses every free moment to hit the road, explore and take photos – including staying out for 12-hour night-time shoots. 

He believes that there’s a huge opportunity to connect with young creatives and to better engage and reward them – and this was one of the reasons behind entering TPOTY.
